Those of you who follow these blogs may recall an article written about the BMW 1M. To summarise, it is one of the most astonishing cars available on the market, not because it is as fast as a Lamborghini, or as beautiful as an Aston, but because of the absolutely sublime driving experience. The car shocked car enthusiasts and critiques all around the world, and to see why doesn’t take the slightest amount of car wisdom. If you were smart enough to buy one, but just want that little bit more to make your 1M the one that trumps then all, then maybe this is for you….
RevoZport have created an aerokit that make the refined 1M just a tad beast-like! The kit adds 30mm to the overall width of the car, which goes a long way in terms of giving the car a slammed, aggressive, racing stance. Mounted on the back is a perfectly curved carbon lip, just hinting at the sporting excellence this car is capable of. Nestled between the quad-exhausts is a carbon fibre diffuser, which look more like the fins of a racing yacht. Out front, a front diffuser is tucked in under the front bumper. From every angle, this bodykit gives off subtle hints as to the seriousness of this car, so much so that those who know cars only by the fact that they have four wheels would be able to tell! By far the best bit, aside from the aesthetics, is the weight reduction achieved through the use of super light carbon materials, which combine to the effect of a 60kg weight reduction.
What is most impressive about the kit is that it doesn’t ruin the car. It may sound ridiculous, but with a car so perfect, it is so very easy to ruin the fine balance of aesthetics by changing the appearance in even the slightest way. I’m sure we’ve all seen it, a fantastic car, ruined by the owner through the use of a body kit made with the handcrafting skills of a three year old, or rims that look more like grandma’s trinket collection. This aerokit however, has done the amazing, and has made a perfect car……..just that little bit more perfect.
