A mix of the jaguar F type, and what appears to be the Batmobile, the all-new Rezvani Beast (yes that is the actual name) has hit the market. If I told you that this supercar churns out 500bhp, you’d probably be surprised to hear that this is the product of a peppy little 4-cylinder engine. You’d more than likely be less surprised when I admitted that both a supercharger and turbocharger aid this.
The Californian manufacturer accounted for the relatively small engine by equipping the Beast (sounds so epic) with various lightweight carbon-fibre components, including the seats…. I’d like to follow the whole ‘don’t knock it til you try it’ approach, but those seats don’t appear particularly comfortable. But the minimalist approach has paid off, as the Beast weighs in at a mere 748kg!
The skeleton of the Beast is a strengthened version of the Aerial Atom’s chassis, and houses stunning 19-inch wheels with low-profile tyres. Power is sent through to the rear, delivered via either a manual or sequential automated transmission. This process will launch you to 100kmh in just 2.7 seconds. Incredible.
What is also pretty cool about the Beast is that some of the parts of 3D printed, such as the mirrors, and some of the light casings. It is an interesting thought to wonder if 3D printing is going to be the next big thing for car manufacturing…
Anyways, so, what is the price for all this? You’re probably expecting a figure with too many 0s than you’d like, but surprisingly this supercar is on sale in the USA for just $165,000 (215,000 in Aussie dollars).
