Often times, car enthusiasts tingle with excitement when concept cars are revealed, as they are often so stunningly beautiful, you’d easily call them art. Featuring sleek lines, elegant curves, and really out there styling, concept cars can look like they’ve been taken from the future for our people to enjoy in the present. More often than not though, this excitement is often crushed when the actual model is revealed, as it differs greatly in comparison to the futuristic styling we were expecting. There are exceptions to this, such as the BMW i8, which looks like something out of Tron. The newest exception however, is Liberty Walk’s new body kit for the McLaren 650s.
When I wrote about the McLaren 650s a few months ago, I raved about the incredible performance, and also highlighted the excellent styling, which at the time, I thought was at a point where any changes would ruin the car. Liberty Walk have proved me wrong though, with this futuristic looking body kit which will please the rich to no end. They haven’t taken this cosmetic surgery lightly, as they have actually cut into the bodywork to achieve the stanced look. The package comprises an enlarged intake duct, a carbon splitter, what appears to be the wing from a Boeing 747 on the back, some deep dish wheels, performance tyres, and flared fenders, overall giving the car an incredibly stanced look. In terms of engine tuning, there isn’t any word about it, but lets be honest, anything which does 0-100 in 3.0 seconds isn’t exactly in need of some tuning.
