The BMW N54 engine is not is not something lacking power. In fact, BMW quote the engine as having a substantial 225kW and 400Nm of torque, while independent testers have reported that these values underrate the engine performance (with 228kW and 422Nm being detected). You would be right in saying that cars equipped with this engine wouldn’t be suffering from a lack of power, but that isn’t to say that they couldn’t do with a little more…..
You line up at the lights with your N54 equipped ultimate driving machine, lets say, an E82 1M. Alongside, another 1M pulls up next to you. This’ll be interesting… As the lights turn green, you both put foot to the floor, but after just a few seconds, you realise they’ve shot far ahead of you….. Are they simply a better driver? Your pride would like you to think otherwise. Is their car equipped with some sort of performance chip? Most likely!
Introducing the JB4, a performance chip designed specifically for the N54 engine. Fitted to your vehicle, you’ll expect around an 80hp gain if your car is completely stock, a massive 160hp if you’re car houses a turbocharger, and an unbelievable 350hp if your car is properly modified!! Yup, I had to read that stat line twice as well. This chip further flaunts its worth when you look at the price-tag, as it is one of the cheapest substantial performance upgrades you can get. At this stage, there is no doubt you want one, so here are the cars it is compatible with:

• 2008-2010 E82 Coupe 135i
• 2008-2010 E88 Convertible 135i

This guy in the video obviously loved this chip. Take a look for an honest, company unaffiliated review of the product!
